The Problem

Mazda’s Werribee location is situated in a highly competitive stretch of car dealers, with local Ford, Kia, Nissan and other dealerships all located on the same road. Their goal was to stand out as the best option for local customers and those travelling from further afield, hoping to build greater brand recognition and be seen as a high-quality dealer that put customers first.

To give them this edge over the competition, Werribee Mazda required a thorough strategy that included multiple channels of communication, both traditional and digital, and updated visuals to match. This multifaceted approach would help them appeal to a broad range of audience demographics, and the greatest portion of their local customer base.

The SOlution

We developed a multi-channel marketing strategy that included both organic and paid social media, photo and video shooting, and paid search advertising. Our content shooting and creation services formed the backbone of the paid search and social strategies, using footage from both within the showroom and other local areas to showcase the vehicles and present them to viewers wherever they were looking.

Our paid social and search channels were focused on targeting local consumers, by appearing for local car dealership searches and general car searches. Appearing in these situations would help to generate a buying impulse, and using both search and social would give us more opportunities to connect with viewers and stand out as a top option. Our organic socials extended on this, giving users a place where they could research the dealership more closely and identify the premium focus placed on customer services and looking after locals.

The Results

With regular shoots and monthly updates to ad content and social posts, we delivered a significant improvement on impressions and leads for Werribee Mazda at an efficient cost. Over the 2022-23 financial year, we averaged over 260 leads per month, coming in the form of calls from ads, enquiry form submissions, test drive bookings and pricing quote requests. With an action rate over 10.6%, these ads continued to deliver impressions and conversions across the campaign period.

Many of the leads generated through paid search and social turned into new and used car sales and other revenue streams like car servicing bookings. This helped to build Werribee Mazda’s reputation as a leading option, providing both high quality vehicles and their maintenance and upkeep over time.
