Media Buying

Impossible to miss, wherever your audience actually is.

Build my media strategy

Performance-driven media buying across radio, television, outdoor and digital, designed to build reach, sharpen frequency and turn scale into measurable growth.

As a Melbourne media buying agency, we connect strategy, relationships and technology to make sure your budget works as one campaign, not a collection of disconnected bookings.

Our Strategy

One strategy, not a collection of bookings

Traditional and digital media are often planned, bought and reported through separate suppliers and systems.

That can leave channels operating independently, budgets divided without a shared view and audiences exposed inconsistently across the campaign.

We plan and buy media across radio, television, outdoor and digital media as one coordinated strategy, using long-standing industry relationships to negotiate competitive rates, stronger placements and added value.

Our process

Technology behind the strategy

Two systems, working together: one giving us a live view of what's actually happening, the other making sure your budget reaches people instead of repeating on them.

  1. WorldView: one platform, the whole picture

Most reporting tells you what happened after the fact. WorldView helps us understand what is happening while the campaign is still moving. It is the connected ecosystem behind our media strategy, bringing together audience intelligence, sentiment trends, campaign activity and website performance in one centralised view. WorldView helps us identify valuable customer cohorts, activate campaigns using richer data signals and measure performance with a clearer view of return on investment. Decisions can be shaped while activity is live, rather than after the budget has already been spent.

  2. MEX:ID: smarter frequency across programmatic media

When digital media is bought through disconnected platforms, the same person can be overexposed while other potential customers are barely reached. The MEX:ID tag helps connect programmatic activity, supporting first-party audience development, cross-channel retargeting and more coordinated frequency control across compatible digital environments. That means fewer wasted impressions, better audience experiences and more efficient use of your programmatic budget.

Our Strategy

Where your brand can show up

Every channel plays a different role. We plan across all of them as one strategy, not five separate media buys.

  1. Radio

Build reach, frequency and brand recall across traditional broadcast, digital radio and streaming audio.

  2. Outdoor

Own visible space across billboards, street furniture and digital out-of-home placements.

  3. Television

Use free-to-air, connected television, streaming and video to deliver high-impact brand storytelling at scale.

  4. BVOD

Combine television-quality environments with the audience targeting and measurement capabilities of digital media.

  5. Programmatic

Use data-led buying to reach audiences across display, digital audio, video, gaming, native and high-impact formats.

Our Promise

Added value, guaranteed

For eligible 12-month traditional media agreements, we guarantee that the authenticated added media value we secure will equal or exceed the total Media Exchange collaboration fees paid across the contract period.

If it does not, those collaboration fees will be refunded in accordance with the guarantee terms.

Eligibility applies to agreements with a minimum total media spend of $120,000 plus GST across radio, television and outdoor media. Digital advertising spend is excluded. Added value is reconciled against applicable media-owner market rates. Full terms apply and are available on request.

Our resultsOur results

Results that moved businesses

Every campaign is judged against what it actually did for the business, not how it looked in a report. Reach and impressions are only useful if they translate into real outcomes. The results below are what actually moved, not just what was easy to measure.

Reach, not repetition

Buying media without a shared view of frequency means some people see your ad a dozen times while others never see it at all. We plan to avoid both.

Fragmented media buying compared with The Media Exchange approach
Fragmented media buying The Media Exchange approach
Channels planned and bought separately One coordinated strategy across traditional and digital media
Digital activity spread across disconnected platforms Programmatic media consolidated where appropriate to improve reach and frequency control
Performance reviewed after activity ends Live campaign visibility and ongoing performance monitoring
Budget allocated without a shared view of the audience Channel investment shaped around reach, frequency and campaign objectives
Multiple suppliers working independently One media partner coordinating strategy, buying and reporting

Make your brand impossible to ignore

Let’s build a connected media strategy that reaches further, controls waste and makes every channel work towards the same goal.

Our Answers

FAQs

Media campaigns typically begin from around $10,000 per month, although the appropriate investment depends on your objectives, target audience, geography, campaign duration and channel mix. We develop the strategy first, then recommend a budget capable of delivering meaningful reach and frequency.

WorldView goes beyond retrospective campaign reporting. It brings together audience intelligence, sentiment trends, campaign performance and website activity in one connected ecosystem, helping us identify valuable audience cohorts and shape decisions while activity is still live.

Yes. We can plan and coordinate activity across radio, television, outdoor, BVOD and programmatic media as one connected strategy, rather than treating each channel as an isolated booking.

We monitor delivery and performance throughout the campaign and recommend adjustments where the media format, booking terms and available inventory allow. Digital and programmatic activity may offer greater flexibility for live optimisation, while changes to traditional media placements depend on supplier agreements and scheduling availability.

MEX:ID supports first-party audience development, cross-channel retargeting and more coordinated frequency control across compatible programmatic environments. This helps reduce unnecessary repetition and gives us a clearer view of how audiences are being reached across digital activity.

For eligible 12-month agreements, the authenticated added media value secured across radio, television and outdoor activity must equal or exceed the total collaboration fees paid across the contract period. If it does not, those fees are refunded in line with the guarantee terms. The guarantee applies to agreements with a minimum $120,000 plus GST eligible media spend. Digital advertising spend is excluded, and full conditions apply.

Yes. We can lead the complete media strategy or work alongside your internal team across planning, buying, campaign coordination, reporting and optimisation.
